- How much does a web site cost?
- The answer to that question depends on what you want on your
site. To get an idea of how much your site may cost, look at our
package deals and/or
request a free quote.
-
- Do I have to know exactly what I want on my page before I
contact a designer?
- Absolutely not! Most of our clients are not sure of
what they want when they first contact us. Our designers
can help you figure out what you want on your site. Also,
you can start with a small site of a page or two and then add
more pages later.
-
- How much does it cost to talk to a designer?
- If you hire Amazing Art and Graphics to create your web
site, it does not cost anything to talk to (via phone or email)
a designer. However, if you decided not to order a web
site, you will be billed $24.95 per hour for any work that has
been done on your behalf (such as creating a sample page or
designing a sample site to your specifications).
-
- Why should I risk paying $24.95 per hour to talk to a
designer?
- Most people who talk to (via phone or email) a designer, end
up getting a web page, so, therefore, do not pay $24.95 per hour
for concept work. If you are not certain whether you want
a web site or not, you can
contact a
designer to discuss the pros and cons. There is no
charge until the designer starts doing actual design work.
You will be informed of when the designer starts to charge you
for her time. In the meantime, you will have the
information you need to make a decision about whether or not you
want a web site.
-
- I would like to add a photo gallery to my site, but I'm
not sure which photos I want to use.
- You don't have to pick all of your photos at the same time.
Just pick 5 to 10 photos that you like (they don't have to be
your favorites, just photos you like) and we will put them in
your photo gallery to get you started. Sometimes it helps
to see the photos actually on the internet. Also, your
site can be launched and working while you decide about
additional or replacement photos.
-
- I don't have a digital camera. Do all the photos on
my site have to be digital?
- No, your photos do not have to have been taken by a digital
camera to work on your web site. Digital photos are often
easier to transfer from your computer to our designers, but they
are not required. If you would like to include non-digital
photos on your site,
contact a
designer to discuss the best way to do that.
-
- Should I wait until I have the history of my business (or
club or organization or hobby) written before I get a web site?
- No, you don't have to wait to have the history written
before you get a web site. If having a history page is
important to you, we can set one up with a few facts (when the
business opened, any significant changes since it opened).
You can always write the history later. Otherwise, if the
actual history of your business is not crucial to the purpose of
your web site, you can leave the history page off until you have
time to write it.
-
- I have all the business I can handle. Why would I
want a web site?
- Lots of businesses have web sites to keep current
clients and customers up to date. A web page is the
perfect place to announce new products or services. Also,
if your competition has a web site and you don't, you could lose
some clients or customers. Finally, if your web site
increases your business, you may be in a position to hire
additional help and/or to expand.
-
- I had a web site and I didn't have time to keep it up to
date. Why would I want to try that again?
- Amazing Art and Graphics can keep your web site up to date
for you. That way you can concentrate on other things.
Contact a
designer to discuss this option.
-
- What's the difference between re-creating an existing web
site and updating an existing web site?
- If your current web page looks the way you want it to look,
but has outdated information on it (such as last year's Board of
Directors), then you would order updating. However, if you
want the color scheme changed or if you want a new look to your
site, then you want your site re-created.
-
- I have a web page, but it never gets visited. What
should I do?
- It sounds like you may have a problem with SEO (Search
Engine Optimization). Try this, go to your favorite search
engine (such as Google or Yahoo) and type in the name of your
company (etc). If your site does not come up, you have a
problem with SEO. Amazing Art and Graphics can help you
with this.
